Thank you for your interest in my writing! Below you will find a short summary of my experience and qualifications along with a link to some of my published writing clips.

I graduated Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, Texas in May, 2021 where I triple majored in Journalism, Fashion Media and Spanish and minored in Women’s and Gender Studies. 

From 2019-2020, I was an editorial intern and my writing was published in multiple issues of the luxury media magazine, Modern Luxury. My magazine writing ranged from fashion, art, food & restaurants, luxury experiences, the Dallas social scene, entertainment and more. 

Throughout the past year I have been living in the Valencian region of Spain and developing my Spanish speaking and writing skills. I am fluent in Spanish and fascinated with the culture in Spain. At SMU, I participated in a research program where I studied female poets and playwrights in 16th and 17th century Spain. Throughout my time living in Spain, I have developed my blog and writing business, Ciao Kristen. I have used this platform to document my travels, cultural experiences, favorite foods and fashion while living in Spain and traveling Europe.
